<br />City Administrator Ulrich reported on the RTC. He stated he was interviewed by the Star <br />Tribune and an article would be in the Saturday edition. He mentioned discussions on <br />transportation issues to make Ramsey a more viable location for business. <br /> <br />Member Elvig asked about EI Azteca and if there is interest in looking at this retail business. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan stated the City would welcome this opportunity. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan questioned if the EDA would like him to facilitate <br />any business going west of Armstrong. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Economic Development Consultant Mulrooney explained financial options to help EI Azteca. <br />He commented that the City is providing tax increment to facilitate demolition of buildings to <br />create options for more available property for new businesses. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan reported Production Design Products is gathering <br />information to upgrade the front of their building and looking for funding. <br /> <br />Member Steffen asked if Coordinator Sullivan talked to Bob Muller about the Highway 47 /167th <br />southwest comer businesses. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan replied Bob Muller indicated to him that he is <br />more apt to sell at this time. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Member Steffen asked how the Ramsey 3 discussions have gone. <br /> <br />Member Strommen commented some of the same issues are raised; however, good things have <br />come from the discussions. She stated the process is a good idea but needs to be refined. She <br />commented she would like a more diverse group of people attending the Comp Plan meetings. <br /> <br />Chairperson Riley asked if members for other items for on-going discussions.
