,The water service~.-to a building shall not be turned on in freezing <br />'Weather unless the temperature within said building is 50 degrees or <br />'.abOve. <br /> <br />Subd. 7 Breaks, Interrupted Service <br /> <br />No claim shall be made against the City for interruption of service <br />.caused by the breaking of any watermain or service pipe or fixture. <br /> <br />Sub& 8. Water Connections Prohibited <br /> <br />No more than one house or building or in the case of townhouses, <br />one unit, shall be supplied from one water service pipe except by <br />ispecial permission of the City. Whenever two or more parties are <br />supplied from one pipe connecting with the distribution main, <br />each building or part of the building must have a separate stop box <br />at the curb. <br /> <br />No water pipe of the municipal water system shall be connected <br />with any pump, well pipe or tank that is connected with any <br />source other than the City water system. When such are found, <br />the City shall notify the customer to disconnect same, and if not <br />done immediately, the City water supply shall be turned off. <br /> <br />Any customer of the City that desires to use the resident's own <br />well system in conjunction with use of City water, that well <br />system must be completely disconnected from the City water and <br />sewer utilities. Said well system shall only supply spigots located <br />on the outside of the residence or building or to yard hydrants. <br />Water obtained from those spigots shall only be used for watering <br />lawns, gardens and shrubs, washing cars and other such uses <br />and only in such a manner that none of the drainage from such <br />use goes into the City sewer system. <br /> <br />Sub& 9. 1VI_nlntenAnce <br /> <br />The service pipe to the stop box (curb stop) and the connection thereto <br />shall be the property of the customer and must be protected and <br />maintained by the customer. In the event such customer shall fail to <br />make necessary repairs to such service connection or pipe within <br />twenty-four (24) hours after being notified by the City to do so, the City <br />Shall make such repairs and the cost thereof shall be charged to the <br />customer and shall be collected in the same manner as other bills for <br />water consumption are collected. <br /> <br />Subd~ 10.
