hoses must be shut off and all other unnecessary use of water must <br />be stopped. Whenever the City shall determine that a shortage of <br />water supply threatens the City, it may, by published notice and/or <br />radio and television notice, limit the times and hours during which <br />water may be used from the City water system for lawn or garden <br />sprinkling, irrigation, car washing, swimming pools, air <br />conditioning or other uses. Notice of a violation of the published <br />notice shall be mailed to the violator and violation of the mailed notice <br />is hereby prohibited. Any water customer who shall cause or permit <br />water to be used in violation of the provisions of said notice two days <br />after it's mailing may have water service discontinued. <br /> <br />Subd. I1. Opening Hydran~ <br /> <br />No person, except authorized City employees or a member of the Fire <br />Department in case of fire, shall be allowed to open any fire hydrant <br />in the water system for any purpose whatsoever, without first <br />securing authorization from the City, <br /> <br />4.40.07 MUNICIPAL SANITARY SEWER <br /> <br />Subd. 1. Operation, Records and ln.qpection <br /> <br />The City shall provide for the proper operation and maintenance <br />of the municipal sanitary sewer system and shall enforce all rules <br />and regulations pertaining to the same. <br /> <br />The City shall keep a record of the location and size of all parts of <br />the municipal sewer systems, connections thereto, and other <br />measurements or records which may be necessary. <br /> <br />Co <br /> <br />The City shall superintend all connections for service, inspect all <br />service pipes and the premises to ensure that the installation <br />conforms to the intent of the Plumbing Code. <br /> <br />No sanitary sewer service line between the sanitary sewer main <br />and the plumbing system of any dwelling, building or other <br />structure to be served shall be installed until a connection permit <br />has been obtained from the City and the appropriate fees set by the <br />Council from time to time are paid. In installing said sanitary <br />sewer service line the applicant shall adhere to standards <br />regarding location, size, grade, materials and workmanship as <br />required by the Plumbing Code. After the sanitary sewer service <br />connection has been accomplished the applicant shall notify the <br />City. It shall be unlawful to cover the sanitary sewer service line <br />until an inspection has been completed to insure that a proper and <br />suitable connection has been made. <br /> <br />Page 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
