Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan questioned whether this would be a phased effort
by CMDC.

Economic Development Consultant Mulrooney replied that would be worked out. He stated the
signs are to create a sense of place. He indicated he has received comments from neighboring
communities that know nothing about the industrial parks located in Ramsey. He mentioned
that people think some of the industries are located in Anoka rather than Ramsey. He stressed
that people need to know that these businesses are located in the City of Ramsey.

Discussion ensued on sign specifics.

Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan requested members select a specific type of sign
and direct him to work out the logistics. He stated that the next time he brings this back before
the EDA he would like to present a complete packet.

Member Kiefer stated the fourth option with aluminum letters would be his first choice. He
stated his only concern is the letters might be stolen because ofthe high value of aluminum.

Chairperson Riley stated he would rather see monument signs identifying the City.

Economic Development Consultant Mulrooney replied CMDC would not consider monument
signs for City entry point.

Motion by Member Schindel, seconded by Member Kiefer, to move forward with option number
4 and direct Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan to request for bids and a develop a
finance/implementation package.

Motion carried.
