Ordinance #08- - <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN AMENDMENT. TO CHAPTER. 5 WHICH IS KNOWN. AS THE MUNICIPAL <br />REGULATIONS CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA.. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 5.09.03 (DOG REGULATIONS) OF <br />CITY .CODE <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br />SECTION 1: AUTHORITY <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the City <br />of Ramsey. <br />SECTION 2: AMENDMENTS. <br />Section 5 09 03 Subd 1 (Definitions• Kennel Private) is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Kennel, Private - is a place where a dog owner keeps four (4) or more dogs <br />over six (6) months of age on property occupied by the dog owner for residential purposes <br />and where the keeping of such dogs is incidental to the occupancy of the premises, and. may <br />include breeding and selling of dogs as a hobby. A Conditional Use Permit is required for <br />four (4) or more dogs. <br />Section 5 09 03 Subd 2 is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Subd. 2. Number of Dogs Permitted. On a parcel or series of <br />contiguous parcels under the same ownership or occupancy as the dog owner, no more than. <br />three (3) dogs are permitted. A Conditional Use Permit is required for four (4) or more dogs. <br />SECTION 3: SUMMARY <br />.The following official summary of Ordinance #07-_-_ has been approved by the City <br />Council of the City of Ramsey as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of the <br />Ordinance. <br />This Ordinance #07-_- removes the requirement for an Administrative Kennel License <br />to maintain 3 dogs per parcel <br />-157- <br />
