Case #6: : 1-1-1-1~quest to Advertise for Bids for Truck for Public Works ' l!epartment Public Wo~rks Supervisor Mevissen requested authorization to advertise for bids for a truck equipped v~i~h p~ow, wing, sander and dump body for the Public Works Department. He stated the truck wits bu~lgeted for in 1992. Motion by ~0un¢ilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to recommend that City Council autkoriZe advertisement for bids for 32,000 G.V.W. cab and chassis with plow, wing, sander and gttmp, i body for the Public Works Department. Motion carded. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Hardin, Beyer and Peterson. Voting No: None. Case g7: ~ S{luad Car Purchase Concept This case w~ill bet discussed at a subsequent meeting. Case #8: Ii :: P_Urchase of Radios for the Ramsey Fire Department [ Fire Chief ~ff~n requested authorization to purchase the hand held portable radios that were approved iriithe I:992 budget. Motion by purchase of Motion car~ Case #9: C_ourlcilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to authorize the the hand held radios requested by the Fire Department. [ext. Transfer of Landfill Tipping Fee Funds Finance Oficer Helling stated that the contribution to the City's Equipment Replacement Fund, through the iyeara, had not kept pace with the additions or replacement requirements. The Finance Officer wa~:i~strUcted to transfer the Landfill Tipping Fee Fund balance that is available for any general pu~0se~to the Fixed Asset Replacement Fund. Mrs. Helling recapped the revenue, expenditure8 and¢fund balance of the Landfill Tipping Fee Fund from 1985 through 1991. Motion by ~oun¢ilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to direct the Finance Office to prepare a resolution for the next Council agenda which confirms the transfer of funds in the amount I>~ $5~7,899 from the Landfill Tipping Fee Fund to the Equipment Replacement Fund. Motion carded. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Beyer, Hardin and Peterson. Voting No: None. Case #10:~ City of Ramsey Water and Sewer Utility Rates Finance Offioer .Iqelling stated that Staff had been directed to review the water and sewer utility rates, reco~end changes where appropriate and draft an ordinance that would provide for water and sewer rl~tcs to be set by a Resolution. She stated the rates had not been increased since the inception of[the utility district in 1985. Motion by ~0un~_ ilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to direct Staff to prepare an ~Oin~ihce to revise the Municipal Water and Sewer Utilities section of the City Code consistent ~it~h t,h.e draft presented this evening with introduction scheduled for May 12, 1992, adoption M~3~ 26~ 1992 and publishing May 29, 1992 for an effective date on or about June 30, 1992.
