BUDGET COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsay Btldget Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, June 23, 1992 at the <br />Ramsey Iv~fliei~al Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members P~sent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Couneilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin <br /> <br />Also Presettt: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Sandra Ashley Helling <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br />Public Works Supervisor Merle Mevissen <br />Parks/Utilities Coordinator Mark Boos <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson called the regular Budget Committee meeting to order at 6:06 p.m. <br /> 7 <br />CITIZEN ~ iNPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />CONSENT~ AGENDA <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE iA~ENDA <br />Consensus iVas to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Open Burning Disposal Permits <br /> <br />Finance Offer I~lelling suggested that the City require an escrow deposit in the amount of $500.00 <br />for open bu ~.t~.pe~rnits and the money will be returned if the Fire Department is not called. She felt <br />if there wasran eScrow amount charged, the permittee may pay more attention to the conditions of <br />the permit. ~ <br /> <br />CouncilmefPl~er Beyer stated she is opposed to charging for fire calls even if language is included <br />in the bum ~eealent stating there will be a charge for a fire call. <br /> <br />Motion by (~oun~lmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Peterson t,o_ direct the Finance <br />Officer to p~Par~ a resolution for the next Council Agenda to amend the City s schedule of rates, <br />fees and eh~ges to include a $500.00 escrow deposit for open bums. <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br />Beyer. <br /> <br />Voting Yes: Councilmembers Hardin and Peterson.
