H~ stated that in 1990, the City began collecting street light escrow accounts but <br />didn't reall ~ haVe a street lighting policy in effect. These people are inquiring as to when their <br />street light~ will be installed. <br /> <br />Councilme~ber~Beyer expressed confusion as to what type of street lights are to be used as she <br />remember .e~l!th~Planning and Zoning Commission recommending a different type of street light <br />than what i~ being used. <br /> <br />Mr. JankoWski stated he discussed the different types of lighting with Anoka Electric Cooperative <br />and recom~nd~l a different type of lighting which is what the Council approved. <br /> <br />Motion by ~2oun¢ilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to authorize Staff to <br />expend esc~0~w s~reet light funds to furnish, install and maintain street lights at intersections with <br />arterials streets for those subdivisions which have paid escrow funds for this purpose and to write <br />a case for ¢0u.n?l stating what kind of street lights will be used and a description of the type of <br />lighting Cojancflapproved. <br /> <br />Motion carfi'ed. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Hardin, Peterson and Beyer.
