BOARD <br /> <br />BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Request for a Variance to Construct Accessory Structures Nearer the <br />F~ont Property Line than the Principal Structure; Case of Mr. Daniel <br />Brehm <br /> <br />Zoning Ad ~fl~is[a'ator Frolik stated that Mr. Brehm's proposed garage won't be any closer to the <br />front propeay lirt'e than the two neighboring homes. She added that the Board of Adjustment has <br />granted similar variances in the past. <br /> <br />The Board proceeded to review the findings of fact. <br /> <br />Motion by Boardmember Deemer and seconded by Boardmember LaDue to amend #13 to read <br /> That the v~ane, e is necessary for the preservation of a substantial property right similar to that <br />possessed b$, bth~ properties in the R-1 Rural Residential District". <br /> <br />Motion canS~ed. ,Voting Yes: Chairperson Hendriksen, Boardmembers Deemer, LaDue, Bawden, <br />Holland, Te~y and Thorud. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by l~oardmember Deemer and seconded by Boardmember Bawden to amend #14 to read <br />"That if gra~ted,~the variance will not grant the Applicant any special privilege that is denied to <br />other ownet, s of lands, structures, or buildings m the same district. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Hendriksen, Boardmembers Deemer, Bawden, <br />Holland, La~ue, Terry and Thorud. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by B0ardmember Holland and seconded by Boardmember Thorud to amend #15 to read <br />"That if gr~ed,~the variance will not be materially detrimental to the purposes of the Ramsey <br />Zoning Chapter or other property in the R- 1 Rural Residential District". <br /> <br />Motion ca~'ied.: Voting Yes: Chairperson Hendriksen, Boardmembers Holland, Thorud, <br />Bawden, Dqeaner, LaDue and Terry. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by B°ardmember Thorud and seconded by Boardmember Bawden to amend #16 to read <br />"That if gra~ted~ithe variance will not substantially increase the congestion of public streets, or <br />increase tho,~an$er of fire, or endanger the public safety, or substantially impair property values <br />within the ~{ghlx~rhood". <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Hendriksen, Boardmembers Thorud, Bawden, Deemer, <br />Holland, Lal3Jue and Terry.
