<br />Chairperson McDilda stated that they could walk away from this meeting knowing that they are <br />going to have a booth for the EPB at the expo. He stated that they could put a case for the next <br />meeting to talk about what they will have for their booth and who will staff it. <br /> <br />Environmental Coordinator Anderson stated that Staff is considering having a general City booth <br />for questions about other City issues. <br /> <br />Chairperson McDilda stated that prior EPB booths have been pretty spectacular. He suggested <br />that they show oak wilt and see if the public can identify it. He stated that at the next meeting, <br />they should focus the discussion on the EPB booth and have assignments going out from that <br />meeting. He explained that some of the issues would be going online to get flyers to populate <br />the booth with. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Board Member Sibilski questioned if there was any word on the storm water report that includes <br />the wetland update. <br /> <br />Environmental Coordinator Anderson replied that it is still being reviewed and revised but once <br />completed, the wetland classification map will be presented to the Board for consideration. <br /> <br />Board Member Freeburg asked Board Member Stodola to introduce himself and provide a bit of <br />background. Board Member Stodola stated that he works as a substitute teacher in the Anoka <br />Hennepin School District and is licensed in health and physical education. He added that he <br />moved to Ramsey about a year and a half ago. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Environmental Coordinator Anderson reported that Council did approve the master naturalist <br />program, with the first class beginning on February 6th and meeting every Wednesday for 10 <br />weeks. He stated that they have the ability to hold 10 seats for Ramsey residents, and to register <br />you can go to the website or contact Parks Supervisor Riverblood. He reported that Mr. <br />Riverblood had already received several calls from residents who are interested in the program. <br />He reminded the Board that there is a waiting list of about 150 people for the classes. He <br />advised the Board that he did tell Parks Supervisor Riverblood that there several Board Members <br />interested in the class. <br /> <br />Board Member Stodola questioned if there would be continuing education credits for the class. <br /> <br />Environmental Coordinator Anderson advised that the credits would be available, but you would <br />need to pay for the master level credit to receive it. He also explained that the class is limited to <br />a maximum of 20 people whom are over the age of 18. <br /> <br />Chairperson McDilda stated that he believes that you could take the class and then later apply to <br />have the credits applied and pay for them at that time. <br /> <br />Board Member Stodola questioned how many credits the class would be worth. <br /> <br />Environmental Policy Board / January 7, 2008 <br />Page 9 of 10 <br />
