CONSIDER A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE <br />RESIGNATIONS OF COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />Givonna Reed Kone, Human Resources Manager <br />Background <br />PC CASE # 2 - <br />Mr. Martin Schindel and Ms. Jessica Trites Rolle have submitted letters of resignation <br />from the EDA and Planning Commission, respectively. Mr. Schindel's letter of <br />resignation was received February 1, 2008 and indicates that his resignation is effective <br />immediately. Ms. Trites Rolle's resignation is effective March 7, 2008. <br />In the interest of meeting the deadline for the Ramsey Resident, staff has made <br />arrangements for both vacancies to be advertised in the March/April issue of the Ramsey <br />Resident, as per the City Charter. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Staff recommends that the resignations of Mr. Schindel and Ms. Trites Rolle be accepted <br />and that staff be directed to begin a recruitment process to fill the vacancies. <br />Funding Source <br />The approximate cost to advertise the vacancies in the Anoka. Union and Shopper is <br />$200. There is no additional cost to advertise the vacancies in the Ramsey Resident, on <br />QCTV or on the City's website.
