City Staff is recommending that variance be conditioned upon the Church performing a lot
combination when the deeds are recorded at Anoka County so that the lot split does not have the
affect of creating an additional buildable lot. With a lot combination, the County assigns one
parcel identification number to both properties and consequently, the 34 acres will only be
eligible for one building permit. To obtain a second parcel identification number for the property
will require City approval and the City may require platting at that time. The Variance will also
acknowledge that any further subdivision of the property will require compliance with
subdivision regulations.
Staff Recommendation:
City Staff recommends approval of the variance.
Council Action:
Motion to adopt Resolution #08-02- adopting Findings of Fact #_ relating to
Gerald Bauer's request for a variance to the platting requirements in Section 9.50 of City
Code for the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 16, Township 32,
Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota.
-and-
Motion to adopt Resolution 408-02-_ approving Gerald Bauer's request for a variance to the
platting requirements in Section 9.50 of City Code and declare terms of same.
-or-
Motion to deny the request from Gerald Bauer for a variance to the platting requirements in
Section 9.50 of City Code based on findings of fact.
Reviewed By:
City Administrator
City Attorney
CC: 2/12/08
—232—
