CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNT STATE OF MINNESOTA AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 5 WHICH IS KNOWN AS MUNICIPAL REGULATIONS. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5, SECTION 5.07 TITLED "FIREARMS" OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA The City of Ramsey ordains: SECTION 1. AUTHORITY This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the City, of Ramsey. SECTION 2. AMENDMENT SubSection 5.07.08 of the City Code is amended as follows: SubSection 5.07.08 "License to Carry Weapons" has been deleted in its entirety --and replaced with the following language: SubSection 5.07.08 Permit to Hunt. A permit to hunt wild game with a firearm as an exception to this ordinance may be issued by the Police Chief. The Police Chief shall be granted the authority to administer the permit process. SubSection 5.07. 10 is amended to read as follows: Subsection 5.07.10 Permits for Bow and Arrow Hunting. A permit for bow and arrow hunting shall be required prior to such hunting in the City. The Police Chief shall be granted the authority to administer the permit. Permits shall be issued only for the period of the State of Minnesota bow and arrow annual deer hunting season. SECTION 3.. SUMMARY The following is the official summary of Ordinance #08 -XX which has been approved by the City Council of the City of Ramsey as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of the Ordinance. The current City Code allows the Police Chief to issue permits to carry concealed weapons. —262
