Absent: Councilmember Elvig <br /> <br />Case #11: <br /> <br />Consider Confirmation of Directions Given in Closed Session <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich reviewed the discussion held at the earlier closed session regarding a <br />payment for the City of Ramsey vs. 5A Partnership I, et al. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to authorize payment <br />regarding the City of Ramsey vs. 5A Partnership I, et aI, District Court File No. CI-06-2093 in <br />the amount of $3,352.50 to Marvin A. Liszt, Bernick and Lifson. <br /> <br />Motion carried. V oting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Jeffrey, Olson, Dehen, Look, and <br />Strommen. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Elvig. <br /> <br />Case #12: <br /> <br />Adopt Resolution #07-12-XXX of Support for the City's Effort to Seek <br />Technical and Financial Assistance with Researching and Evaluating the <br />Potential of a Land Conservation Measure <br /> <br />Interim Community Development Director Frolik stated that the City Council had directed staff <br />at the November 20,2007 work session to pursue funding sources for an open space referendum. <br />She stated part of the application for Embrace Open Space requires City Council affirmation that <br />there is some support for the application and noted that this does not obligate the City in any way <br />to accept the funding or make any financial commitment. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen stated that he disagreed with a survey that was specific to open space and <br />didn't include other issues of the City such as a civic center. He stated that while he isn't <br />opposed to pursuing funding sources, he wants to make it clear that the City will not be one of <br />those sources. He stated that his recollection of the discussion at the work session was that the <br />survey would include things other than open space issues.
