Councilme~ber Zimmerman commented that the rezoning of the B-1 Properties to Rural Business had been tabted and that it would be appearing on the Planning and Zoning Commission agenda as a rezoning 0f the- affected properties from Rural Business to B-1 Business and the ending of the usage of Rtiral Bhsiness. This would also pertain to Industrial and Rural Industrial. Case #1: . Rl~msey Video Update. The City o~ Ramsey developed a promotional video in conjunction with the Star City Program in late 1988 arideafly 1989 and used it at a number of functions to promote the City. The video was reviewed ahd recommendations were solicited for either updates or developing a new video directed at th~ businesses in the City. Commissione-rs Fults and Nelson felt that the video is aimed primarily at homeowners and that it should be d~dide.~ exactly who the target audience should be. Commissioner Fults stated that the current vidO~do~S not give businesses any benefits for locating in the City of Ramsey. Instead it shows them the I)arks and other public services that cost commercial property owners additional money. Chairman Wagner stated that the video should indicate some of the available land for growth for both commOrOial ~nd industrial properties which is currently not mentioned. He stated that this is a start, but tho Cit~ may want to create two videos, one directed towards housing and new families moving into~the City and one directed primarily toward businesses moving into Ramsey. Commissiot~er Fnlts mentioned that some of the local businesses may wish to use this updated video as a r-e~C!'uitment tool for future suppliers and employees to show them some of the amenities that Ramsey has to offer. Commissioner Nelson stated that whether the video was updated as either one long or two short videos, it slI0iald ~iscuss the structure of the City, the Commissions, Staff, buildings and services available for !qeW residents. Businesses also will find this helpful in determining who to contact when they ~ave a particular problem with zoning uses next to them or to become more involved in the commufiity by serving on a commission.
