CASE #: <br />CONSIDER APPROVING THE REVISED 2008 CITY <br />HEALTH INSURANCE CONTRIBUTION FOR NON -UNION EMPLOYEES <br />By: Givonna Reed Kon6, Human Resources Manager <br />Background <br />Below are the revised health insurance contribution amounts staff is proposing for non- <br />union employees. These contribution amounts are commensurate with those that have <br />been tentatively agreed to by LELS - Patrol and LELS- Sergeants. Staff is still negotiating <br />the terms of a new agreement with AFSCME. <br />The only change to the contribution schedule below is that the City's contribution for the <br />100% single plan ($20/100 %) has increased from $456.30 /month to $474.65 /month. This <br />change lowers the employee out-of-pocket amount to $15.00 /month for the 100% single <br />plan. <br />City City. There are funds in the 2008 budget to absorb the additional cost for <br />the 100% single plan.
