Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # 08- 02 -XX- <br />RESOLUTION (TO/NOT TO) WAIVE STATUATORY TORT LIMITS FOR <br />LMCIT LIABILITY COVERAGE <br />WHEREAS, city staff has reviewed the impacts of waiving and not - waiving <br />statutory tort limits for liability insurance with the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance <br />Trust; and <br />WHEREAS, it has been past practice for the City of Ramsey to not waive the <br />statutory tort limits for liability coverage with LMCIT; and <br />WHEREAS, City Council has determined it is in the best interests of the City to <br />(waive /not waive) the statutory tort limits for liability insurance with LMCIT. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey (waives /does not waive) the statutory <br />tort limits for LMCIT liability coverage. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City, <br />Council this the 26 day of February, 2008. <br />-117- <br />
