Develop a Vision for the community <br />a. Make Ramsey the "place to be" <br />b. Consensus on the "picture of what Ramsey will look like in the future <br />B. Renew the faith of our citizens. Much of that has been weakened by the setbacks in Town <br />Center. <br />a. Recover from downturn in market and see neighborhoods built out with the <br />amenities envisioned for them. <br />C. Public Facilities: <br />a. Community Center <br />b. Secure and build a permanent PW Campus <br />c. 10-20 year equipment/facilities plan with coinciding financial plans <br />d. Water treatment Plant <br />i. Consider a waste water treatment plan. No pump and dump <br />ii. Surface water treatment plant with neighborhood community buy-in <br />D. Transportation: develop plans for an upgraded and integrated transportation and transit <br />system in place <br />a. Light rail <br />. b. A stop on the commuter rail <br />c. Step up lobbying for Hwy 10 freeway build out <br />d. North/South and east/west transportation effective transportation corridors <br />e. Move reconstruction of Hwy 10 forward to becoming a reality within a decade <br />f. Get Hwy 10 on the State plans for upgrading <br />E. Business Development <br />a. Re-establish/new retail development along Hwy 10 <br />b. A large employer to town. Small ones are wonderful, but a large one would be a <br />great boom to our local growth <br />c. More commercial and industry for our residents to work at <br />F. Housing <br />a. Make progress towards attaining life cycle housing goals <br />b. Less multifamily/townhome construction <br />c. Focus on all aspects of housing, short and long-term, rather than just trendy styles. <br />G. Viable Ramsey Town Center <br />a.
