_208_
WRAP
MOST BENEFICIAL ELEMENT OF THE CITY COUNCIL /STAFF RETREAT:
Councilmember Strommen: Discussion about Town Center, and laying out a plan for when we
have those conversations with a developer and the public.
Councilmember Olson: Refocusing on goals.
Mayor Game: Teamwork, effort of staff /Council working together for common goals that are
set.
Councilmember Look: Commitment to the City of Ramsey from everyone.
Councilmember Dehen: Teamwork.
Police Chief Way: Communication between Council and staff.
Finance Officer Lund: The different breakout sessions because of the interaction with each
other.
Interim Community Development Director Frolik: All interesting, liked the common threads and
themes coming from both sides.
Director of Public Works Olson: Ramsey Town Center discussion, identifying our highest priorities
in the short term with just about everyone putting the rail station as the highest priority. A lot of
things are related to Town Center. This reaffirms the direction we are headed.
Fire Chief Kapler: All the points had great merit. Appreciate the structure to informally come
in and talk about this.
Assistant City Administrator Nelson: Echo Director of Public Works Olson's comments. Having
an opportunity to talk outside of a Council meeting about how we communicate with each
other and residents.
City Administrator Ulrich: Personal interaction and chance to talk with Council and staff.
Seeing more about the vision and how tight it seems to be in terms of the parameters. Good
focus in terms of the communication and work that needs to be done.
End of Report
Prepared by Barbara K.
