Case # 5 <br />REQUEST FOR AN INTERIM USE PERMIT TO ALLOW MULTIPLE <br />OUTDOOR EVENTS AT 7550 HIGHWAY 10 NW (DIAMONDS SPORTS BAR <br />AND GRILL); <br />CASE OF MONSTER AUCTIONS & EVENTS, INC. <br />By Tim Gladhill, Management Intern <br />Background: <br />Monster Auctions & Events, Inc. has submitted an application for an Interim Use Permit <br />(IUP) to allow multiple outdoor special events on the seventeen -acre parcel located at <br />7550 Highway 10 NW (Diamonds Sports Bar and Grill). <br />As the City Council may recall, a similar request was submitted by the owner of <br />Diamonds Sports Bar & Grill on the same property in late 2007. This most recent <br />application by Monster Auctions & Events, Inc. represents a separate, less intensive set of <br />proposed uses and events by the current property owners. The maximum duration of an <br />Interim Use Permit is five (5) years from the date of approval, unless otherwise approved <br />by the City Council. <br />The following items are included in your packet, for your information: <br />1) Site location map <br />2) Letter from applicant outlining request <br />3) Proposed site layout <br />4) Proposed Schedule of Events for both Diamonds Sports Bar and Grill and <br />Monster Auctions and Events, Inc. <br />5) Two (2) Letters from adjacent properties <br />6) Planning Commission Findings of Fact for denial <br />7) Proposed Findings of Fact for Council consideration <br />8) Proposed IUP <br />Notification: <br />Observations: <br />The outdoor events are proposed to include: <br />Staff attempted to notify all property owners within 1,000 feet of the subject property and <br />the property owners in the Alpaca Estates neighborhood. This represents the same <br />mailing notification of Ramsey parcels as the previous request by Diamonds Sports Bar <br />& Grill in 2007. Staff has also notified the City Administrator's Office at the City of <br />Dayton. <br />a. Small scale events including Farmer's Markets, Flea Markets, and Car Shows <br />(up to twenty (20) per summer) <br />
