' I~ame Park Referred to as "Magnesium" Park <br /> <br /> Consensus ~f th/}Commission was that this issue is not an immediate need and therefore could be <br /> placed on ~subs~xluent agenda. <br /> COMMIS~iO~ INPUT <br /> 1) UP~ate !on Ramsey Terrace and Flintwood Hills Park Development <br /> Parks/UtiliZes C~0~.,rdinator Boos referred to the park and trail development in Ramsey Terrace and <br /> Flintwood ~ills. [He stated that all trail development has to be done in blacktop with a 5% grade to <br /> be handicap,. $¢n~tive. He stated that $15,000 has be set aside for plantings, etc., and there will be <br /> money left,Over[ to make trails. Mr. Boos added that Royal Concrete Products has donated a <br /> culvert that~Was needed. He informed the Commission that the City Council will be considering <br /> park develc~rnefit with CDBG Funds and that trail development could be considered as well. He <br /> offered to k~ePT, t? Commission abreast of what the CDBG Funds will be used for. <br /> 2) Update bn Faye Addition <br /> Mr. Boos stated With regard to Faye Addition, the land trade occurred between Anoka County and <br /> the develop~r an~ as a result of the trade, the alignment is much improved. <br /> 3) Upd?te On the Mississippi River Corridor <br /> Mr. Boos rO~ort~d that the National Park Service is acting as a planning agency with regard to the <br /> Mississippi ~P, ive~ Corridor <br /> <br /> Pos~ibili!y of Funding for the Park Survey <br /> 4) <br /> Mr. Boos stated t~ere are funds available from the Minnesota Recreation and Park Foundation and <br /> he will find but i~ the park survey could be funded with these dollars. <br /> <br /> 5) NeWeSt Commissioner on the Park and Recreation Commission <br /> Commissiorter Flbrentius stated she is very excited to be on the Park and Recreation Commission. <br /> <br /> ^DJOURr MV.
