<br />Staff would recommend the following action steps be taken to implement the Committee's <br />alternate Proposal to IP 08-06. <br /> <br />1. Prepare a cost estimate of the Proposal improvements to both the property owners and the <br />City's MSA account at the April 15th PW Committee meeting. <br /> <br />2. Hold a public informational meeting with benefitted property owners shortly after the <br />April 15th Committee meeting to present the ProposaL <br /> <br />3. Require that a petition be signed by over 50 % of the property owners expressing support <br />of the Proposal be submitted to the City before May 13th (the date on which City Council <br />is scheduled to authorize the 2008 Street Maintenance Program project). <br /> <br />i) If no qualified petition is received IP 08-06 should be. ordered under the terms <br />described in the 2008 Street Maintenance Program feasibility study. <br />ii) If a qualified petition is received IP 08-06 should be deleted from the 2008 Street <br />Maintenance Program and rescheduled as a new street project in 2009. <br /> <br />Action: <br /> <br />Motion to direct staff to: (a) Prepare a cost estimate of the Proposal improvements to both the <br />property owners and the City's MSA account for the April 15th PW Committee meeting; (b) <br />Hold a public informational meeting with benefitted property owners shortly after the April 15th <br />Committee meeting to present the Proposal; and (c) Require that a petition be signed by over <br />50% of the property owners expressing support of the Proposal be submitted to the City before <br />May 13, 2008 in order to delete IP 08-06 from the 2008 Street Maintenance Program. <br /> <br />Ikviewed by: ;:f:f::;: L' 0 <br />City Administrator. . . . . <br />Director of Public WorkslPrincipal City Engineer <br />Finance Officer . <br /> <br />cc: 04/08/08 <br /> <br />-118- <br />
