Sullivan, Economic Development Coordinator <br /> <br />Backgr()und: <br /> <br />The City owns the two lots currently in Sunfish Lake Business Park. Lot. 1 was platted as a lot for <br />industrial development and Lot 4A is utilized as a storm water pond for the industrial park. Some <br />geoteclmical exploration was done on Lot 1 that has led to the. determination that most of the eastern <br />portion of the lot is not. buildable and that the soil correction needed will cost upwards of $1 00,000. <br />Recently a business has come to the City with interest in developing on this site and is proposing to <br />reconfigure the site to make a 2 to 3 acre buildable site. It would include redesigning the pond and <br />orienting the.lot to Sunwood Drive. City Code requires that the City Council to declare land owned <br />by the City as surplus property prior to selling it. Introducing and adopting this sales ordinance does <br />not give the business an exclusive right to purchase this property.
