Proof of insurance must be provided - Churches do not haveto <br />fill anything out for events at their own facility. <br /> <br />Fee Waived for Non Profit: No fee charged for any applicant. <br /> <br />Charge for Public Safety: <br />~ Fire Department - No Charge <br />~ Police Department - Charge <br />.:. The Police Chief normally sends reserves and the charge is $22 per hour <br />which covers a $12.50 an hour wage and an administrative fee. If the <br />event includes alcohol, at least one licensed officer is provided - at a cost. <br />If there is an event that is of value to the City - such as a safety day at the <br />school and they want an officer and a car for a few hours':"" that is provided <br />at no fee. If Coborn' s, for example, is having a Halloween event out in the <br />parking lot and they would like an officer to assist with traffic, an officer <br />or a reserve are sent at a cost. If, for example, Elk River Ford is having a <br />big sale event and they would like someone directing traffic at this eight <br />hour event - they pay for a reserve to be present. Event applicants <br />coordinate this directly with the Police Department. . Language to that <br />effect is written as a condition to their temporary permit. The Chief stated <br />there is no formula he relies on with regard to the number of <br />officers/reserves he sends - he bases it on past practice. If a request for <br />extra policing crimes from a business, there is usually a charge for it. The <br />charge and when to charge is basically left up to the Police Chief to <br />determine. <br /> <br />City: Ham Lake <br /> <br />Permit Fee: $30 - "unless 1,000 or more people are attending the event. In that case, a <br />separate license shall be required for each day and each location at a fee of $1 00 per day. <br />This does not apply to any regularly established permanent place of worship, stadium <br />golf course, athletic field, arena, auditorium, coliseum, or other similar permanently <br />established place of assembly for assemblies which do not exceed by more than 25 <br />people or the maximum seating capacity of the structure where the assembly is held.
