The Commission asked several questions of Candidate Err Harves. A discussion ensued. <br />Chairperson'~[qet~nd described the frustration this Commission has encountered when merely <br />trying to asc~,rkai~ the County Commission meeting dates, times and locations. <br /> <br />Mr. Harves -Suggested that he is aware of this lack of citizen participation and one item on his <br />personal agd3da ~ould be to move at least half of the meetings to evening hours so that the public <br />would be mOreinl~ormed about the role of County Commissioners and to be able to provide citizen <br />input. <br /> <br />The Park a~nd ReCreation Commission members thanked Mr. Harves for taking time out of his <br />campaign schexlule to visit the Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Item #2: <br /> <br />The discusslOn revolved around the future of the park in Riverwood Hills and volunteer liability <br />concern s. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson and seconded by Commissioner Swokowski to adjourn the <br />meeting of tile P~k and Recreation Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried. ! Voting Yes: Chairperson Hetland, Commissioners Swokowski, Johnson, <br />Gookin and Fl°r0ntius. Voting No: None.
