The City Ramsey already has an ordinance that requires all vehicles be licensed, operable and
parked on an improved surface, but that ordinance is difficult to enforce. Please don't
penalize all city residents to fIX the problem with a few people because it is difficult to prove
operability.

I think 5 items is an unrealistic number as many city residents have more than 2 cars. When
you add an additional car or two, a camper, a pontoon boat, a small fishing boat, the trailer
and the snowmobiles, or a car hauler trailer an active family could easily have 10 items. Are
you saying that our son's and daughters should not have a car to drive to work so I can have a
boat or camper?

If each property owner maintains their yard and keeps all items in good repair the number of
items should not be of concern. If the citizens of Ramsey like to have an active life and do a
lot of things that should be our right, we should not have to choose between snowmobiles and
boating.

1, as a citizen of Ramsey do not want any ordinances added that limit my right to go and do the
things I enjoy. The amount of boats, trails and other items that I have in my yard should be of
no concern to the city or my neighbors as long as I keep them in order. If I have improved
surfaces, the grass mowed I should not have to make the choice to give up any of the items
that I have.

Thank you, Jeremy Sturgill"

Email #2:

"I am submitted this email because I may not be able to attend this Thursday's Off Street
Parking Ordinance meeting.

I would like to say that I understand the desire to clean up our community by limiting how
much stuff people store in their yards. But a big part of the reason people move to Ramsey is
to have our bigger yards, and to be able to have and store out things in our yards. If you are
going to start limiting how many things we have in our yards, where will it end? We might as
well all move into downtown Anoka and live in apartments.

I agree that everyone should maybe have all outside things neatly stored and arranged as to
not have our yards looking like junk yards.

I proposed that if we are going to have to limit the amount of outside items, campers, trailers,
etc., then the city should allow its residence to build larger garages for storing these items. I
have lived in Ramsey for over seventeen years now, and during that time the city has
continuously reduced the size of a garage that we can build.

Thankyoufor reading my concerns and my proposaL .Sincerely, Steve Angell"

Planning Commission / March 6, 2008
