<br />COMMITTEE/STAFF INPUT <br /> <br />1) Discussion on Annual Sediment Pond Cleaning <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Olson stated he wanted to talk quickly about a project that the City did <br />a couple yeas ago with regard to a pond belonging to Cecilia LaDue at 6716 - 158th Lane NW. <br />The vegetation grew into the pond and it wasn't seeping properly. The City got three quotes for <br />pond cleaning which came in at $4,400, $4,500 and $18,000. The lowest bid was taken and we <br />went forward with the project. It was completed for about $5,300 and all guidelines were <br />followed. <br /> <br />Chairperson Dehen inquired what the problem is. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Olson explained that we dewatered and removed vegetation and when <br />the water levels came back, there was no longer water in the pond. <br /> <br />The cleaning process was discussed and staff reported the pond would be reviewed in the spring. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec and seconded by Councilmember Olson to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
