ROAD AND BRIDGE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Road and Bridge Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, April 14, 1992 <br />at the Ramscy MUnicipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: Mayor James Gilbertson <br /> <br />AlsO Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br /> <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gilb~son called the meeting of the Road and Bridge Committee to order at 6:40 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case gl: Report on County Road #116/Trunk Highway #47 Intersection <br /> Project. <br /> <br />Mr. Jankow~ki reported that he had received preliminary plans for the intersection project at <br />County Road #11'6 and Highway #47. The project will consist of increasing the number of traffic <br />lanes on all four legs of the intersection. Specifically the north, east and south intersection legs <br />will all havel a~ single dedicated through lane and dedicated right-turn and left-turn lanes. The south <br />leg of the intefseotion will have two dedicated through lanes and dedicated right-turn and left-turn <br />lanes. The construction is anticipated for late August 1992. Traffic will be open throughout the <br />construction. ,However, there will be temporary closures during off-peak hours. <br /> <br />Case #2: Report on Trunk Highway #47 Safety Improvement Project. <br /> <br />Mr. Jankowski reported that he had been receiving calls from residents regarding white X's which <br />have been appearing on side street pavement. These are surveying markings for a Trunk Highway <br />#47 safety improvement project which is anticipated to be let in January 1995. The project will <br />consist of adding turn lanes, bypass lanes and possibly some intersection lighting. The project has <br />a distant conslrucfion date due to the fact that right-of-way needs to be acquired for the project. At <br />this time, preliminary plans are not available. <br /> <br />Case #3: Report on Waco Street Project. <br /> <br />In April of 1990, the City entered into an agreement with Mr. Albin Peterson in order to facilitate <br />construction of s~wer and water through his lands to reach the Juniper Woods subdivision. As <br />part of this agreement, Mr. Albin agreed to dedicate the right-of-way for the connection of Waco <br /> <br />Road and Bridge Committee / April 14, 1992 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
