Background <br />DISCUSSION REGARDING STIPENDS FOR <br />BOARD AND COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />Givonna Reed Kone, Human Resources Manager <br />PC CASE # 3 <br />At a recent. Personnel Committee meeting, staff was directed to survey metro -area cities <br />to determine whether Ramsey's stipend to board and commission members is in line with <br />the market. The City currently provides board and commission members with a stipend <br />of $25 per meeting and chairs are paid $35 per meeting. Stipends are paid to members of <br />the Environmental Policy Board, Planning Commission, EDA, Park and Recreation <br />Commission and Public Safety Board. <br />Of thirty-four survey responses received, ten cities indicated that they pay stipends to <br />board and commission members.
