"<"<.;.f

Board Member Max advised that Nowthen Nursery was one of the first vendors to give out
coupons at the tree sale and have residents pick up their purchases from the nursery at a later
time, rather than bring all their stock to the event.

Environmental Coordinator Anderson stated that Hostas and More have been involved in the
event for years and are leaning towards a similar concept. He stated that Maple Leaf
Landscaping would be bringing several truckloads of trees the night before the event to get setup.
He stated that Anoka Ramsey Farm and Garden would be bringing about 50 fruit trees to the
event and advised that the Anoka County Master Gardeners would also be at the event. He
stated that he was unsure of the quantities. that the other two nurseries would be bringing to the
event.

Board Member Freeburg questioned what time they should arrive at the Expo.

Environmental Coordinator Anderson advised that he would be at the Expo at around 6 a.m. or
6:30 a.m. to get things going. He explained that if the booth were setup the night before,
whoever is taking the first shift would not have to be to the Expo until 8 a.m.

Board Member Max questioned if they planned to have handouts at the booth for residents.

Environmental Coordinator Anderson advised that if the Board is planning to do so, they can
email the information to him and he would make copies for them.

Board Member Stodola advised that he did get feedback from a couple Board Members and has
added and subtracted some information from the water conservation ideas. He explained that
there is still a lot of information and the Board would need to decide what would be included and
presented at the Expo. He questioned what the Board wanted to do with the display board and
what the layout would be for the information. He stated that he would be able to get the water
conservation information down to one page so that people would be able to take the information
with them.

Board Member' Freeburg stated that at a past Expo the EPB had a handout for the wetland
information and questioned if they would be able to use that information again.

Chairperson McDilda advised that they should have the tree books available at the booth.

Board Member Sibilski questioned if they could have a couple copies of the wetland buffer book
at the booth.

Environmental Coordinator Anderson advised that he had been holding off on the printing of
those books until the Council adopts the wetland map. He stated that they could print a copy and
mark draft on it so that people are aware. He advised that he did not want to print a lot of copies
until the map is adopted by Council, but stated that he could print the draft copy to have at the
booth to show residents.

Board Member Sibilski advised that they could pull some of the information out of the book to
put together some dos' and don'ts' handout.

Environmental Policy Board / April 7, 2008
Page 4 of9
