Absent: CouncflmemberHardm. <br /> <br />Case gT: Approval to Request City of Ramsey Authorization to Issue Open <br /> BUrn Permits <br /> <br />Zoning Admi.'nistrator Frolik stated that at the last City Council meeting, an ordinance was adopted <br />to define an{!~exeanpt recreational fires from the permitting process and establish regulations for <br />open burns.$he~'stated that following the adoption of the ordinance, the plan was that the City <br />would then SUbmit a request to Minnesota Pollution control Agency (MPCA) requesting Ramsey <br />authority to issue Open bum permits. <br /> <br />Motion by COun¢ilmember Peterson and seconded by Mayor Gilbertson to authorize the City <br />Administrat~to ~bmit a written request to PCA requesting that the City of Ramsey be authorized <br />to issue opaiaibum permits and that the authority to do so will be delegated to Environmental <br />Specialist B/a~e tlacon, Fire Chief David Griffin and Assistant Fire Chief Dean Kapler. <br /> <br />Motion car~.d. City of Ramsey <br /> <br />City Adminialxator Schroeder stated there are no precinct boundary changes mandated. <br /> <br />Motion by C0un~ilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to adopt <br />Resolution S92-03-053 re-establishing precinct boundaries within the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carfiegt. Absent: CouncilmemberHardin. <br /> <br />Case #9 Purchase and Sale Agreement for the Cable Company <br /> <br />Councilmeml~er Peterson stated, as a point of information, that North Central Communications <br />Corporation:is solling their interest in Quad Cities Cable Television, which serves the City of <br />Ramsey, and be~,_ause cities can purchase cable companies, the City was offered a chance to buy <br />Quad Cities ;(2able Television. The price was $18 million and the consensus was not to purchase <br />it. <br /> <br />Case 010: AWard Engineering Contract for Wood Pond Hills Subdivision <br /> <br />City Enginee~ Jankowski stated that on February 25, 1992, City Council authorized solicitation of <br />requests for ct~gi~ering proposals for Wood Pond Hills subdivision. Mr. Jankowski reported that <br />the requests f@r p~posals were sent to and received from five engineering firms.
