Motion by C~un~ilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to grant a 30-day <br />extension tO MaY 29, 1992 to resolve the conditional use of 14600 Nowthen Boulevard N.W. and <br />directed Staff to place on the agenda for Council review on May 26, 1992. <br /> <br />Motion carrt~d. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Beyer, Zimmerman, Hardin and <br />Peterson. V .otingNo: None. <br /> <br />Case #12: Adopt Resolution Approving Request of the Ramsey Lions Club for a <br /> Ti~mporary Off-sale Non-intoxicating Malt Liquor License and One <br /> Day Off-site Lawful Gambling Permit on Saturday, June 13, 1992 <br /> for the Sixth Annual Ramsey Community Picnic at Central Park and <br /> Waiving the License Fee <br /> <br />City AttornOY Goodrich stated that the City Code states that no persons shall bring liquor into the <br />City parks; however, the action proposed is legal. <br /> <br />Motion by C°unailmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to adopt Resolution <br />#92-04-0771 approving the request of the Ramsey Lions Club for a temporary off-sale non- <br />intoxicatingi~alt tiquor license and one day off-site lawful gambling permit on Saturday, June 13, <br />1992 for the: sixtll annual Ramsey Community Picnic at Central Park and waiving the license fee. <br /> <br />Further diseuasio~n: Councilmember Hardin inquired what would happen if someone requested <br />having malt~li~lu~ at a softball tournament. City Attorney Goodrich stated it would be legal if the <br />City want~t9 grant approval. Councilmember Hardin stated the City just sent a Patrol Officer to <br />D.A.R.E. trsfning; many children attend the community picnic; he questioned if the City was <br />sending out ftl~e "wrong message" by allowing alcoholic beverages to be consumed at this event. <br />Mayor Gilbe~tson agreed with Councilmember Hardin's comments; however, because the Lions <br />are in the final planning stage for this picnic and because of past practices, Council should approve <br />the request ~f0r a temporary off-sale non-intoxicating malt liquor license. Mayor Gilbertson <br />requested that the issue of alcoholic beverages on public property be brought back for future <br />discussion. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Beyer and Peterson. Voting <br />No: Councilmembers Hardin and Zimmerman. <br /> <br />Case #13: 'Report on Wood Pond Hills Projects <br /> <br />City Engine~r Jankowski presented the feasibility report for sanitary sewer, watermain, storm <br />sewer and Street construction improvements for the proposed Wood Pond Hills Phase I <br />developmenl~ gnd stated the object of this case is to set a public hearing date. <br /> <br />Motion by C~. ~Unc~lmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to adopt Resolution <br />g92-04-078 r~eiving report and setting a public hearing date of Tuesday May 12, 1992 at 7:30 <br />p.m. on Improvement Project #92-15 (sanitary sewer and watermain laterals and street <br />construction ¥0r Phase I of Wood Pond Hills Addition). <br /> <br />Motion carrie.
