That has taken place and he felt there is no longer a reason not to <br />settle with tl~!exempt employees. <br /> <br />Motion by Eognc!Imember Peterson and seconded by Mayor Gilbertson to approve the adoption of <br />the exempt ~kage as presented and to increase monthly health and life insurance contributions to <br />$250.00 eff~tive January 1, 1992. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Peterson stated that the use of a City vehicle by the City <br />Engineer wig be dealt with at a future meeting. Mayor Gilbertson stated he has a real problem with <br />the City brealld'ngan employment contract. Councilmember Zimmerman inquired what would be <br />the advantag~ otr approving the exempt employee's contract now instead of waiting. Mayor <br />Gilbertson r~lied_ that a decision had to be made. Councilmember Peterson explained the wage <br />and benefit pllln t0 Councilmember Zimmerman and stated he felt there was no reason not to settle <br />it at this po~[..'~uncilmember Beyer stated she was concerned about the mediator's concern <br />about compgrabl4 worth and stated that the City Council hadn't approved the Comp Worth Study <br />figures, nor h~d the State. <br /> <br />Motion car~.e4t~. Voting <br />No: Couneil~embers Beyer and Zimmerman. <br /> <br />Case /112: Schedule Council Workshops on Goals and Objectives <br /> <br />City AdministratOr Schroeder reminded Council that they are to hold work sessions on 1993 goals <br />between MaJy!25 and June 5, 1992. Staff has already met on this issue and will complete their <br />review on l~lity 27, 1992. He also announced that Council had completed their meetings with <br />individual S.~ departments and should now set up a date to meet with Department Heads and <br />Supervisors to'disCuss the outcome of these meetings. <br /> <br />The dates of luiy $ and July 21, 1992 were set for the meetings, with a time to be determined later. <br /> <br />Case /t13: Introduce Ordinance Amending Chapter 9 of Ramsey City Code, <br /> Adult Uses-Principal <br /> <br />City Attorney GoOdrich explained that the proposed ordinance amendment would permit more than <br />one adult use jn ~ny adult use location existing as of December 16, 1990. He felt it would be <br />beneficial to the City because it would minimize the number of locations required to accommodate <br />such adult use~. <br /> <br />Motion by C0un¢ilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to introduce <br />Ordinance ~2.-XX, amendment to Chapter 9 of the City Code, Section 9.11.19, which section is <br />known as the Adult Uses Section of the City Code. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Beyer, Peterson, Hardin and <br />Zimmerman.
