John ploeger, 15640 Juniper Ridge Drive N.W. - stated that he was also present at the June 11, <br />1992 meeti ,~ and residents asked for minor development of the Reilley East Park, which was <br />nothing mor~ th,an grading, some grass planted and perhaps access to water. He also mentioned <br />that Woodlarid Oreen seems to be more of a toddler park where older children cannot play without <br />risking injktrY to.the toddlers. The area residents do not want Woodland Green Park developed. <br /> <br />Mayor Gill~rts°n felt that it would not be too difficult to provide some grading at Reilley East <br />Park. ~ <br /> <br />Another area:resident commented on how secluded Woodland Green Park was and that it would be <br />a prime tar${t ar~,.a for child abductions, etc. and parents feel uncertain about letting their children <br />play at WoOdland Green Park. <br /> <br />Motion by Coun{:ilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to place this case <br />on the Park and Recreation Commission agenda for review and that the concerns of the residents <br />be made knoivn to the Park and Recreation Commission and also the Budget Committee. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Beyer, Hardin, Peterson and <br />Zimmerman. VOting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by COun¢ilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to obtain cost <br />estimates f0rlgrading and a backstop at Reilley East Park for the meeting scheduled for July 30, <br />1992 regarditig capital improvements. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmemhers Beyer, Hardin, Peterson and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #2: ~ City of Ramsey's 1991 Financial Statements and Audit Report. <br /> <br />Finance Officer Helling reported that Mr. Malloy from Malloy, Karnowski, Radosevich & Co., <br />Inc. was unable to attend the meeting. <br /> <br />City Council ~commended the Finance Department for their fine work and asked Finance Officer <br />Helling to request Mr. Malloy appear before the Budget Committee in August to review the <br />documents. <br /> <br />Motion by COUncilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to accept the City of <br />Ram sey's financial report and audit results for the year ended December 31, 1991. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Beyer, Hardin, Peterson and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #3: Oak Wilt Program Proposal. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Coordinator Boos introduced Dan Gilman from the Department of Agriculture, Mike <br />Max from the A.noka County Tree Board, Jeanette Monear from Anoka County Extension <br />Division, Steve Kunde and Mr. Trowbridge from Kunde Company and Ken Holman, Community <br />Forestry Specialist, who will be working on Ramsey's oak wilt program proposal.
