<br />Mayor Gamec stated that the trip in question did not involve him. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich confirmed that this lawsuit had nothing to do with that trip. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to enter into the Settlement <br />Agreement and Release for HSP vs. the City of Ramsey in an amount of $8,475 from City funds <br />and $816 from the League of Minnesota Cities. <br /> <br />Motion carried. V oting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Strommen, Elvig, and Jeffrey. <br />Voting No: Councilmembers Dehen and Look. Absent: Councilmember Olson. <br /> <br />MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br /> <br />Local Government Officials Meeting <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that there is a Local Government Official meeting at the Courtyards of <br />Andover on April 30, 2008, at 5:00p.m. and asked the Council to let City Clerk Thieling know if <br />they are able to attend. <br /> <br />Trip to Washington. D.C. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he and Councilmember Elvig and City Administrator Ulrich went to <br />Washington, D.C. last week to discuss including Ramsey in Northstar Commuter Rail as a rail <br />stop. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig stated that he feels it was a very successful trip and they were well <br />received. <br /> <br />Met Council Grant Extension <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated that he and Mayor Gamec had met with the Met Council <br />Community Development Committee and asked for an extension on the grant for the park <br />amphitheater. He stated that this was approved unanimously by the Committee and will be on the <br />Consent Agenda at the full Met Council meeting. <br /> <br />Joint City Manager's Meeting <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated that he plans to attend a local City Manager meeting and asked <br />the Council to let him know if there are issues that they would like to see him discuss with other <br />area leaders. <br /> <br />City Entrance Signs <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated that a few weeks ago, the Council had discussed entryway signs <br />and monuments. He stated that the sign department did a mock up of a possible sign that is <br /> <br />City Council! April 22, 2008 <br />Page 17 of18 <br />
