<br />Councilmember Strommen expressed concern that for parcels 3 acres and above, if this was <br />changed to less than the current ordinance, that the City would create businesses that are non- <br />compliant. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Frolik stated that she cannot think of any businesses <br />that have more than two employees. <br /> <br />Councilmember Look read aloud the types of businesses that would not be allowed for a Home <br />Occupation permit. He stated that he wanted to assure the viewing public that there won't be <br />businesses like auto shops right next door to them. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec suggested that only one non-resident employees be allowed regardless of the size <br />of the parcel. <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey suggested that it be left as three or more employees if their parcel is at <br />least 3 acres and limited to one employee if it is less than 3 acres. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember Look, to introduce an <br />ordinance to amend Section 9.11.04 (Home Occupations) of the Ramsey City Code, with <br />revisions to state that if there is a parcel of 3 or more acres, up to three employees are allowed, <br />but on parcels smaller than 3 acres, only one non-resident employee be allowed; and that <br />Category one type businesses will not require a permit. <br /> <br />Motion carried. V oting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Jeffrey, Look, Dehen, and <br />Strommen. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Elvig and Olson. <br /> <br />Case #4: <br /> <br />Adopt Ordinance Declaring Land as Surplus Property and Authorizing the <br />Sale of Lot 1, Block 1, Sunfish Lake Business Park Second Addition and Lot <br />4A, Block 1, Sunfish Lake Business Park <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that this was introduced at the last Council meeting and noted that <br />this is part of a proposed TIF district, but there is not an agreement in place yet. He stated that <br />this agreement will come back to the Council prior to the sale of the property. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Look, seconded by Councilmember Dehen, to waive reading of the <br />Ordinance Declaring Land as Surplus Property and Authorizing the Sale of City Owned Property <br />legally described as Lot 1, Block 1, Sunfish Lake Business Park Second Addition and Lot 4A, <br />Block 1, Sunfish Lake Business Park. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Look, Dehen, Jeffrey, and <br />Strommen. Voting No: None.
