Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Hardin and <br />Zimmerman. ~Voting No: None. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbcrlson adjourned the regular City Council meeting at 7:56 p.m. in order to conduct the <br />following public hearing: <br /> <br />1) ImproVement Project/192-17 (Sunny Ponds and Ramsey Meadows subdivision) <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:59 p.m. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: ~ presentation by Anoka County Sheriff Kenneth Wilkinson <br /> <br />Anoka County Sheriff Ken Wilkinson gave a presentation on what the Anoka County SherifFs <br />Department'rhas~ accomplished over the past year and what the Department has to offer. He also <br />talked about hov~ the Ramsey's Police Department and the County Sheriff's Department work <br />together. <br /> <br />Case #2: S{~uare Footage Requirement for Off-sale Liquor Establishments <br /> <br />Police Chiet~AusPOs stated he had contacted several sources to seek rationale behind the minimum <br />square footag~ requirement in Ramsey for off-sale liquor establishments. He stated he did not find <br />a good reason:andsuggested that possibly City Council reconsider this requirement. <br /> <br />Consensus 0fithe;City Council was that Staff should prepare information for review of this issue <br />by the Plannit}g and Zoning Commission. Liquor and other business owners should be contacted <br />for input. Council will then consider Planning and Zoning Commission's recommendation. <br /> <br />Case #3: 1992 Improvement to Woodland Green Park <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities; Cogrdinator Boos stated that, as a result of a joint City Council/Park and Recreation <br />Commission rnee~mg, Staff identified an improvement (a paved trail) to Woodland Green Park that <br />would upgrad~ accessibility to the park. The funding would come from the redistricting refund <br />and from the Primary Election reimbursement. The timbers, etc. would come from the parks <br />supplies budget. <br /> <br />Motion by C0uncilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Hardin authorizing the <br />requested inlp~ovcments and directing a reallocation of funding in the amount of $3,102 from the <br />redistricting refund from Anoka County and $2,370 from the Primary Election reimbursement, <br /> <br /> City Council/August 25, 1992 <br /> Page 4 of 9 <br /> <br /> <br />
