Upon review, the <br />Planning and!zoning Commission suggested waiving the requirement for blacktop or concrete <br />traffic areas. ~ind loading areas behind the fence line as this area is not accessible to the general <br />public. <br /> <br />Motion by Cgun¢ilmember Peterson and seconded by Mayor Gilbertson to approve the site plan <br />for Skelgas drawn by Graphic Design, and consisting of two sheets dated July 21, 1992 and <br />revised Augui~t 6~ 1992 and contingent upon the applicant entering into a Site Plan Development <br />Permit with the City. <br /> <br />Motion carriOd. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Hardin and <br />Zimmerman. ~Vofing No: None. <br /> <br />Case #6: Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Establish a Heavy Industrial <br /> use in the Business Warehouse (BW) District; Case of Bury and <br /> Carlson, Inc. <br /> <br />Zoning Adminis~ator Frolik stated that Bury and Carlson, Inc. has submitted a request for a <br />conditional u~ permit to establish a heavy industrial use in the Business Warehouse (BW) District. <br />Seventy-five[ ~erc~nt of the operation would be devoted to crushing demolition asphalt and concrete <br />and 25% of t~t¢ operation would consist of retail sales of other miscellaneous landscaping supplies. <br /> <br />Dennis GriSWold~ representing Bury and Carlson, outlined how the business operates and the <br />importance of this type of business. He informed Council of the landscaping and irrigation plan <br />also. <br /> <br />Chris Soderholm~ Water Control Corporation, 7150 - 143 Avenue N.W., Ramsey - stated that in <br />the past, this area was zoned differently. He expressed concern that his property value will go <br />down becau$~ of this type of heavy industrial business. He also expressed concern about the other <br />types of businesses that may move into the industrial park.
