He added that the Bury and Carlson <br />facility he vlSite~was very nice but expressed his concern about how his own business fits in. <br /> <br />Don Greenl~g Slated he was involved with the industrial park since before Ramsey was a City. <br />He summan'z/~d the original plans for the entire area. <br /> <br />Wayne JohllSon, Realtor representing Don Greenberg in the sale of the property to Bury and <br />Carlson, stateld he has been in commercial Real Estate for 23 years. He asked that Council grant <br />approval to B~ry and Carlson's request for a conditional use permit because the business is needed <br />in the area an~ that it is also very compatible with the surrounding uses. He suggested that if the <br />Council would c[eny this CUP, it would be the same as a taking of Don Greenberg's land by <br />condemnation. <br /> <br />Mr. Griswoldrnoted that the Bury and Carlson facility in Bumsville is located adjacent to Dodge of <br />Burnsville, who tlad expressed concern about the trucks going past their inventory. The owner of <br />the Dodge bu[iness stated he would be at Bumsville City Hall regularly if he had a problem and to <br />date, Burns~il:le has not received any complaints from the owner. <br /> <br />Councilmemb~er ~Hardin commented that the City needs to review its Industrial and Business <br />Warehouse DistriCts to promote proper placement of various business types. <br /> <br />Council pr°eeeded to review the findings of fact. <br /> <br />Motion by ',(2ouncilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to adopt <br />Resolution ~:J2-08-198 adopting Findings of Fact/t0318 relating to Bury and Carlson's request for <br />a conditional I~se permit to establish a processing facility for demolition cement and asphalt in the <br />Business warehouse District. <br /> <br />Further discussiom Councilmember Hardin questioned if the easement for the cemetery should be <br />wider for eaS, ier access. City Engineer Jankowski stated that the reason for the 16ol/2 foot <br />easement was, solely to grant vehicle access to the cemetery, not to provide a corridor for a future <br />road. <br /> <br />Motion carrie~. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Hardin, Beyer and <br />Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Clouncilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to adopt <br />Resolution ~J2-08-199 approving the issuance of a conditional use permit to Bury and Carlson <br />contingent upon 143rd Avenue N.W. and Jaspar Street N.W. being improved to 9 ton standards. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Beyer, Zimmerman and Peterson. Voting No: <br />Mayor Gilb¢~sonand Councilmember Hardin. <br /> <br />Case W/: :Request for Final Plat Approval of Bury and Carlson Addition, a <br /> ~M[nor Subdivision; Case of Bury and Carlson <br /> <br />Zoning Admirlistrator Frolik stated that Bury and Carlson wishes to plat their 22 acres into one lot <br />and one outlot <br /> <br />Motion by Colancilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt Resolution <br />#92-08-200 granting final plat approval to Bury and Carlson Addition. <br /> <br />City Council/August 25, 1992 <br /> Page 6 of 9 <br /> <br /> <br />
