Voting <br />No: Councit~e '~n!bers Beyer and Zimmerman. <br />Motion by ~oun~ilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to approve the <br />following item on! the Consent Agenda: <br /> <br />12) Adopt ReSolution g92-10-259 ending the probationary period for Patrol Officer Thomas <br /> Lueek.. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Hardin and <br />Zimmerman. '.Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />Case #1: "Pr~esentation by Start Peichel, Ramsey Elementary School Principal <br /> <br />Mr. Stan Peichel,!new principal for Ramsey Elementary School, was present to introduce himself <br />to the Coun4il. [He explained his hopes and plans for the elementary school and for the <br />community. :l~Ie cbmplimented the community on it's family oriented feeling. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />i R.gquest to Vacate Dedicated Street Easement Between PIN 28-32-25- <br /> 3130004 and PIN 28-32-25-31-0003; Case of John and Peter Kovar <br /> <br />City Engin~etr J~kowski stated that John J. and Peter Kovar are requesting that the City of <br />Ramsey vaca!e a~Istreet right-of-way easement that was acquired in 1977 between two parcels <br />described asi ~IN 28-32-25-31-0004 and 28-32-25-31-0003 located along U.S. Highway #10. He <br />reviewed City~ree. Ords and there is not mention as to why this easement was initially acquired. Mr. <br />Jankowski staged it appears that it was acquired to permit the extension of a frontage road along the <br />north side of LI.$~ Highway #10; however, due to the narrowness of these lots, a frontage road <br />that ends in a ~:ul-l:le-sac along the north side of the lots along U.S. Highway #10 would be a better <br />location for tm pgoposed frontage road. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended this <br />vacation. <br /> <br />Motion by Copnc.tlmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt Resolution <br />g92-10-260 a~th~izing vacation of street right-of-ways between parcels described as PIN 28-32- <br />25-31-0004 an~d 28-32-25-31-0003. <br />Motion carde~. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Hardin and <br />Zimmerman. ¥oOng No: None. <br /> <br />Case #3: i Re~quest for a Conditional Use Permit to Establish Professional <br /> r Offices and Retail Sales in the B-3 Highway Business District; Case <br /> 'of ~William Dubats <br /> <br />Zoning Adm~axst~ator Frolik stated that Mr. William Dubats has purchased the property at 6740 <br />Highway 10~N..W. which is zoned B-3 Highway Business. There are currently two structures, <br />one of whichiw~ most recently occupied by Small World Day Care Center and the other is <br />currently used~ as ~nclosed storage space. Mr. Dubats is intending to continue leasing the enclosed <br />storage spa¢% inlone of the structures but is hoping to lease the space in the former day care <br />structure for~r.~tail~ activity and professional offices. Therefore, he is requesting a conditional use <br />permit to estal~lish professional offices and retail sales in the B-3 Highway Business District.
