<br />9.11.08 <br /> <br />03.06.08 <br /> <br />Off-Street Parking. <br /> <br />8ubd.1. <br /> <br />Ceneral Provisions. <br /> <br />a. All off street parking areas shall be surfaced with blacktop or <br />concrete except for rural residential uses. Any other surface <br />material shall require appro'lal by the City Council. Such area <br />shall be graded and drained so as to dispose of all surface ',vater <br />accumulation as determined by the City Engineer. (This text is no <br />longer valid; Subd. 20f this section and the R-l Zoning District <br />section establish driveway and parking pad surfacing <br />requirements. ) <br /> <br />b. All off street parking spaces shall haye access off drivev/ays and <br />not directly off the public street unless othel'\\'ise approved by City <br />Council. (This text was intended for commercial districts and <br />should is proposed to be relocated to Subd. 1 below.) <br /> <br />c. When application of these regulations results in a requirement of a <br />fractional space, any fraction up to and including one half shall be <br />disregarded, Fractions o'/er one half shall eount as one additional <br />space. (This text should be transferred to 9. Jl.09 (Parking Spaces <br />Required) as it applies to how many spaces a commercial site plan <br />will be required to provide.) <br /> <br />Subd.1. Commercial and Industrial Development. <br /> <br />a. Property that constitutes required off-street parking areas may not <br />be separated, through sale. or other means, from the property <br />containing the principal use for which the parking area is required. <br /> <br />b. All off-street parking spaces shall be accessed via a driveway from <br />the public street and not directly from the public street unless <br />otherwise approved by City Council. <br /> <br />c. Required parking facilities serving two (2) or more uses may be <br />located .on the same lot or in the same structure, provided that the <br />total number of parking spaces furnished shall not be less than the <br />sum of separate requirements for each use. The council may' <br />approve the joint use of parking facilities by the following uses or <br />activities under the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. For the purposes of this Section, the following uses are <br />considered as daytime uses: banks, business offices, or <br />wholesale or similar uses. <br /> <br />-7- <br />
