<br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Given the previous discussion, and the lack of any standards with regard to electronic signs, staff <br />recommends using a variation of the Minnetonka ordinance. This ordinance was well-written by <br />attorneys, and reviewed by the League of Minnesota Cities loss prevention department; A few <br />cities have taken variations of the Minnetonka Ordinance. The variations from this ordinance that <br />staff recommends is reducing the speed of change from 20 minutes and eliminating the letter size <br />requirements, due to its difficulty to enforce. <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br /> <br />Direct staff to come back with a draft revision of the sign ordinance, defining and creating <br />standards for dynamic display signs. . . . <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br />Asst.
