<br />match the funds for the station design and a study on ridership. He advised that ridership will <br />continue to be a big issue. He advised that two Councilmembers and the City Administrator had <br />gone to Washington D.C. to garnish support for the rail station and they also made progress. He <br />advised that while they are not there yet, they are making steps. <br /> <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood advised that the streetscape project would also help to make the <br />area a little less stark for people who are coming in with potential funding for the rail station. He <br />advised that the environmental expo would be bigger and better in the future and that they would <br />also advertise more for the event in the future. He reported that for Arbor Day the Environmental <br />Policy Board did partner together with Village Bank to get nine trees planted in Riverdale Park. <br />He advised that this season there are a lot of things happening and a lot of opportunities for <br />volunteers throughout the city.
