<br />C- · la <br /> <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #08-06-X.XX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO DONATE SURPLUS PROPERTY TO THE <br />DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS CHAPTER #39. <br /> <br />'WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council declared a 1992 Big Tex Trailer surplus property <br />on March 11, 2008; and <br /> <br />'WHEREAS, the City Attorney has rendered an opinion that the State Statutes (M.S. <br />412:211) allow the City to convey of property as its interest require as long as such conveyance is <br />found to be a public.purpose and a municipal interest; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Disabled American Veterans have some 38 members living in the City <br />of Ramsey and offer community support in numerous ways as outlined in the attached letter. <br /> <br />. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />The City Council authorizes Staff to convey the 1992 Big Tex trailer to the Disabled <br />AmericanVeterans Anoka Chapter #39. <br /> <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />(ij1d the following abstained: <br /> <br />none <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />none <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this 24th day of June, 2008. <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #08-06-XXX <br />Page 1. of 1 <br /> <br />-109- <br />
