Discuss Scheduling a Public Hearing Regarding the City's <br /> : Transportation Plan <br /> <br />Commissionar I-~ndriksen stated he had requested this case be placed on the agenda. Several <br />years ago tl!e~e Was a plan to bring Highway #47 down to Flintwood Hills and it would be paid for <br />with MSA~ t~unds. The plan was done away with. Mark Banwart, former Community <br />Developmei~l[ Dft'_ector, developed a plan bringing Highway #47 down to Ramsey Boulevard <br />N.W.; that pl~tn riever received a public hearing. Commissioner Hendriksen stated that earlier in <br />the year, he~[prgssed his desire to have a public hearing because the City plan has now shown up <br />in the Coun~platt. He added that the Committee that was to review the Mississippi River Bridge <br />was disbande4J. He requested that the City Council schedule a public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion by ¢~m~issioner Hendriksen and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to recommend that <br />City Counai~ schedule a public hearing to discuss the City's transportation plan of routing <br />Highway #4~ down Ramsey Boulevard N.W. and that all affected property owners be notified of <br />such hearing., <br /> <br />Motion cardegl. Absent: Commissioners Terry and Thorud. <br /> <br />Case #5: ~ Project Status Report <br /> <br />This report islinci~ded with the Planning and Zoning Commission's agenda for their information. <br />Case #6: ~ Discussion of Street Lights <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer submitted written comment to the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />regarding tho~ns~llation of street lights in the City of Ramsey. The statement is attached herein as <br />Attachmen['gk"., He stated that City Engineer Jankowski approved street lights that were not <br />recommended by [the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />City Engin~e~r Jankowski stated that when he recommended certain street lights, he had no <br />knowledge th[t tl~e Planning and Zoning Commission had specified a different type of light. <br />Motion by C6~mmissioner Deemer to recommend to the City Council that a letter of reprimand be <br />inserted in thc.
