Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #2: Request for Discussion Regarding Permitted Uses in the B-3 <br /> Highway Business District; Case of Wayne Johnson <br /> <br />Zoning Adm ~nis~tor Frolik stated that in November 1990, the City Council rezoned the property <br />along HighW~ y. g ~10. from. B-1 Business. to B-3 Highway. .Business.' This process eliminated retail. <br />sales (w~th t~ ~ e~ept~on of auto, hquor, recreational eqmpment, ~mplements and auto accessories <br />and adult n~'~ria~s), offices and banks, personal and professional services, funeral homes, medical <br />clinics and $~m~ clinics from this district as permitted uses. She stated that Mr. Wayne Johnson, <br />a commercia} Reldtor is of the opinion that professional offices and retail sales are an appropriate <br />use for the. ~igh~vay corridor and has requested an audience with the Planning and Zoning <br />Commissioa !o tr~ to convince the Commission to amend City Code. <br /> <br />Mr. WayneiJ~ohn~on stated he is involved with a number of projects in the City of Ramsey and <br />anticipates ~op~portunity to market other properties in the Highway #10 Corridor. He requested <br />adding retallBsa8 for the B-3 Highway Business District as well as professional offices which <br />would eliminate the requirement of a conditional use permit. <br />Ed Hamiltoni 6615 Highway #10, stated he owns B-3 property and asked that the Planning and <br />Zoning Con~ ission consider the above mentioned changes to the zoning. <br /> <br />John Peterso~i, Vice President of Good Value Homes, stated they are the property owners of some <br />of the prop~y Mrs. Johnson is involved in. He stated he is present to support the idea of rezoning <br />to allow retail us~s also. <br /> <br />Commissionei' Hindriksen felt there wouldn't be enough time to dedicate to this case tonight. <br />Motion by C~>mtlaissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Terry to draft an ordinance <br />amendment!l~ase~rl on tonight's discussion and forward this case to the agenda for the special <br />Planning and Zoning Commission meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 15, 1992. <br /> <br />Motion carded. ¥oting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, Terry, Hendriksen, <br />Holland, La/~e and Thorud.
