<br />1. The gross surface area of a service island identification sign( s) shall be <br />counted against the maximum allowable sign area for the subject <br />parcel. <br /> <br />e. Menu Board. Menu board(s) for drive-up or walk-up lane(s) of a drive-in <br />business .are allowed up to a maximum of fifty (50) square feet of total <br />signage. Menu boards are allowed a message on one side only and cannot <br />contain an advertising message. <br /> <br />f. Directional Signs <br /> <br />1. Directional or Instructional SignS are permitted in accordance with <br />~9.12.03 Subd. 9. <br /> <br />2. Parking lot directional signs designating parking area entrances and <br />exits are limited to one sign for each entrance and/or exit and shall not <br />exceed four square feet for each exposed face. Parking lot directional <br />signs shall not project higher than five (5) feet in height, as measured <br />from the established grade of the parking area to which such signs are <br />accessory. <br /> <br />3. Parking lot instructional signs designating the conditions of use or <br />identifying parking areas shall not exceed 8 square feet and shall not <br />project higher than ten (10) feet in height for wall signs and seven (7) <br />feet in height for ground signs, as measured from the established grade <br />of the parking area(s) to which such signs are accessory. <br /> <br />4. .Window signs are restricted to thirty percent (30%) of the area of the <br />window in which the sign is to be displayed. <br /> <br />Subd. 2. Shopping Center Signs. In accordance with Ramsey City Code <br />Section 9.03.06 (Site Plan Review), Subdivision 1 (Required Site PlanlBuilding Design <br />Information, item 'C' (Signs), the developer shall submit a sign plan for approval, drawn to scale <br />with elevations, at the time application is made for site plan approval. The sign plan shall <br />include but not be limited to the following information: number of signs, type of signs, sign <br />. sizes, type of construction materials, sign messages, and proposed sign locations. <br /> <br />9.12.09 <br /> <br />E-l and E-2 Employment Type Districts <br /> <br />Subdivision 1. Wall, Canopy or Marquee Sign. Total sign area may not exceed <br />. fifteen (15) percent of the front building fa<;ade. Sign height shall not exceed the top of the <br />parapet wall or, if no parapet wall, sign height shall not exceed the height of the eaves. A wall, <br />canopy or marquee sign may be located on the outermost wall of any principal building but shall <br />not project more than sixteen (16) inches from the wall to which the sign is to be affixed. Where <br />a principal building is devoted to two (2) or more permitted uses, the operator of each such use <br /> <br />24 <br />
