<br />a. Wall, Canopy or Marquee Sign. Total sign area may not exceed fifteen <br />percent (15%) of the front building facade. Businesses in multi-tenant <br />buildings shall be allowed the proportionate share of the total wall sign area. <br />The total wall signage permitted may be distributed on any other building <br />fayade. Sign height shall not exceed the top of the parapet wall or, if no <br />parapet wall, sign height shall not exceed the height of the eaves. A wall, <br />canopy or marquee sign may be located on the outermost wall of any <br />principal building but shall not project more than sixteen (16) inches from <br />the wall to which the sign is to be affixed. The gross surface area of a wall, <br />canopy or marquee sign maybe increased by ten percent (10%) if such wall <br />sign: <br /> <br />1. Consists only of individual, outlined alphabetic, numeric and/or <br />symbolic characters without background except that provided by the <br />building surface to which the sign is to be affixed; and <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />2. Illumination, if 'any, is achieved through shielded illumination, <br />shielded silhouette lighting, or shielded spot lighting but not any <br />lightirig where the light source is visible or exposed on the face or <br />sides of the characters. <br /> <br />b. Ground Sign. There'shall not be more than one (1) ground sign for each <br />parcel. The gross surface area of a ground sign shall not exceed one <br />hundred (100) square feet for each exposed face nor exceed an aggregate <br />gross surface area of two hundred (200) square feet. <br /> <br />c. Service Bay Identification Signs. Service bay identification signs <br />providing direction or instruction to persons using the facility and <br />containing no advertising material of any kind shall be subject to the <br />following: <br /> <br />1. All service bay identification signs shall be wall signs. <br /> <br />2. There shall not be more than one (1) service bay identification sign for <br />each service bay located on the parcel. <br /> <br />3. A service bay identification sign may be located on the outermost wall <br />of any principal building adjacent to a service bay entrance. <br /> <br />4. A service bay identification sign shall not project higher than the <br />parapet line of the wall to which the sign is to be affiXed. <br /> <br />d. Fuel Pump Island Identification Sign. Fuel pump island identification <br />signs indicating the type of service offered; the price of gasoline; and other <br />relevant information, within reason, pertaining to the facility; or direction to <br />persons using the facility shall be subject to the following: <br /> <br />23 <br />
