Council-Member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # <br />A RESOLUTION RECLASSIFYING THE FIRE MARSHAL POSITION TO <br />FIRE INSPECTOR AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO BEGIN THE <br />RECRUITMENT PROCESS FOR A FIRE INSPECTOR <br />WHEREAS, the staffing needs of the Fire Department have been carefully <br />evaluated; and <br />WHEREAS, staff is recommending that the Fire Marshal position be reclassified <br />to a Fire Inspector; and <br />WHEREAS, staff further recommends that authorization be granted to begin a <br />recruitment process to fill the Fire Inspector position. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />I. Staff is authorized to reclassify the Fire Marshal position to Fire Inspector. <br />2. Staff is authorized to begin the recruitment process for a new Fire Inspector. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council the 8 day of July 2008. <br />
