2. Authorize staff to begin a recruitment process for a new Fire Inspector <br />Funding Source <br />The Fire Marshal position is an existing position and was approved as part of the 2008 <br />General Fund Budget, There is no additional funding required to reclassify the Fire <br />Marshall position to Fire Inspector, Some savings will be realized by reclassifying to a <br />Fire Inspector position; however, the savings will be determined by the hiring wage for <br />the new Fire Inspector. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Make a motion recommending that the City Council: <br />1. Authorize the reclassification of the Fire Marshal position to Fire Inspector <br />2.
